| THE SECRET OF THE SACRED ORCHID |
 |
I bought a single orchid, a single sun orchid.
It was deep sky blue and it made me think of you.
Under the deep sky, feeling a dreamy kind of blue.
Under the deep sky, I dreamed a dream of you.
I met you in the garden of some big house in London.
We danced all night and we watched the morning light.
It was deep sky blue and we dreamed a dream for two.
Under the deep sky, a timeless love we knew.
You led me to your room, still drunk on night’s perfume.
And in that graceful gloom, I kissed a darker bloom.
But love has its seasons and autumn brings unreason.
And winter came for you and to her timeless arms you flew.
Snowflakes fly and snowflakes fall.
Your beautiful death, still robs me of my breath.
And no one ever knew we shared a dream for two.
So I brought this single flower and I placed it on your bower.
It was deep sky blue and it made me think of you.
A single sun orchid. A secret sacred orchid.
Placed on your grave so new, in the early morning dew.
Under the deep sky, feeling a dreamy kind of blue.
Under the deep sky
Snow flakes fly.
Snow flakes fly.
Snowflakes fly and snowflakes fall.
